REGISTRATION CONDITIONS AND APPLICATION FORM FOR THE CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH EXAM

  1. Registration for the exam is only valid if the application form is completed correctly and the exam fee is credited to our account by the set deadline, according to the instructions sent after submitting the application form. You will receive a confirmation of registration by email.
  2. The application form can be submitted in person at the Institute of Lifelong Learning, sent by post to the address University of Žilina, Institute of Lifelong Learning, Ulica 1. mája 32, 010 26 Žilina, or sent electronically as a scanned attachment to the e-mail jazyky@uniza.sk.
  3. All claims for discounts in the form of coupons can be made when submitting an application form. Discounts are provided as part of the marketing activities of the Authorised centre for Cambridge English language exams and are not legally claimed. Individual discounts cannot be combined.
  4. Exams are usually held over two days. The dates of the written part are fixed by Cambridge University Press and Assessment and cannot be changed. All candidates will be informed of the exact date of the oral examination by email at least 3 weeks before the exam.
  5. In case you do not receive the exam schedule and more detailed information about the exam at least 14 days before the exam, you must contact us immediately at 041 513 5042, 0918 805 226 or by email at: jazyky@uniza.sk. The exam schedule will be sent out by email directly from Cambridge University Press and Assessment. Candidates are advised to check their email and spam regularly.
  6. The application for the exam is binding. The exam cannot be cancelled, rescheduled, or switched to a different type. In the event of withdrawal from the exam after the proper registration deadline or in the event of failure to pass the exam, the candidate is not entitled to a refund of the fee.
  7. If the candidate was unable to attend the written part of the exam due to illness and submits a medical certificate within 7 calendar days of the date of the written exam, he/she may apply for a refund of 50% of the registration fee. The application will be assessed by Cambridge University Press and Assessment. In the event that this application is not accepted by Cambridge University Press and Assessment, the fee will not be refunded to the candidate, which will be supported by a justification from Cambridge University Press and Assessment.
  8. If a candidate cancels his or her application form by the deadline specified in the payment instructions, he or she is entitled to a refund of 100 % of the exam fee. A request for a refund of the exam fee must be delivered in writing no later than the mentioned deadline.
  9. A candidate with a disability (hearing impairment, visual impairment, learning disability, etc.) may request a special exam procedure. If this request is made, please inform us by the registration deadline. All requests must be supported by an appropriate medical certificate.
  10. The Authorised Centre for Cambridge English language exams of the Institute of Lifelong Learning of the University of Žilina undertakes to ensure the course and organization of the exam, provided that a sufficient number of candidates are registered for the exam on the given date. The Centre reserves the right to cancel an exam date if an insufficient number of candidates register for the exam. In this case, the candidate has the right to take the exam on another date or to a refund of 100 % of the exam fee. Candidates will be informed of this in due time by email.
  11. All exam materials are sent to Cambridge University Press and Assessment for evaluation after the exam. All exam papers remain the property of Cambridge University Press and Assessment and are not returned or made available for inspection.
  12. The Authorised Centre for Cambridge English language exams of the Institute of Lifelong Learning of the University of Žilina ensures the course of exams according to the rules of Cambridge University Press and Assessment. However, the Centre is not responsible for changes that occur for reasons beyond its control (force majeure). Should the exam, its course, or its result be cancelled, interrupted, or postponed, the Authorised Centre for Cambridge English language exams of the Institute of Lifelong Learning UNIZA will endeavour to arrange substitute services as quickly as possible.
  13. Participation in the Test Day Photos is a prerequisite for taking the B2 First and C1 Advanced exams.
  14. The candidate acknowledges all the information given in the sections: type of exam and exam date.
  15. By completing the application form, the candidate acknowledges the conditions of registration and will follow the rules set out for the selected type of exam and the organizational instructions he/she will receive from the Authorized Centre for Cambridge English language exams of the Institute of Lifelong Learning of the University of Žilina.

It is necessary to complete the application form and:

  • send a scan of it by email to jazyky@uniza.sk
